To a Christian, the cross is an essential article of faith that is often upheld with a great level of spirituality. This could have been the reason why several kinds of jewelry [with the symbol of a cross] are being designed for use as accessories as well as insignia that tell [the world] of the wearer's faith. Some of the different cross designs [with religious undertone] that have been in circulation include:

Byzantine Cross

The inspiration behind the Byzantine cross came from a dream Constantine [the first emperor to ever embrace Christianity] had before going into a battle which he eventually won. Record has it that a sign in the shape of a cross was revealed to him with an inscription that read: "By this sign shalt thou conquer". Constantine later went on to establish an army, and used the 'Byzantine cross' as its insignia.

Claddagh Cross

The Claddagh cross symbolizes agape which Christians meant to portray. The cross has a heart that is enclasped by two hands engraved on it.

St. Andrew Cross

St. Andrew's cross design is a unique one in that it has 3 different (horizontal) bars. Each bar is supposedly connected to the 'crucifixion': the top bar signifies the surface upon which the accusation against Jesus was written; the middle bar represents the platform on which His hands were nailed while the slanted bottom bar represents the footrest.

Canterbury Cross

Canterbury cross looks like the Consecration cross, and it was originally made from silver. The cross is arrayed with three (3) different knots which signifies the Trinity. Artifact collectors might cherish catching a glimpse of the archetype from the Royal Museum in Canterbury.

Anchor Cross

This very cross signifies the fundamental belief of Christians, and that is that 'Christ is the pillar of their faith. The basic shape is just like that of a ship's anchor hence it is sometimes called 'Mariner's anchor'.

These (aforementioned) crosses are often used as pendant, and can be worn as an adornment while proclaiming the faith.
